[Eightfold Path of Yoga with Ann Waring

Sunday, April 13              10:00 am to 4:00 pm             $60 (bring sack lunch)

Yoga, as delineated in Pantajali’s Yoga Sutras, is an eightfold path which provides an all-encompassing yogic approach to the inner searchings which makes us whole.

We will start the morning with ‘Asanas for Emotional Stability’

Next we move on to a Breath Techniques Workshop (Pranayama)

Break for lunch from 12:00 to 1:00 (sack lunch)

Our afternoon session will be from 1:00 to 4:00 where we will ‘Explore Ethics as Philosophy in Action’:

Five Yamas, living with True Ethics, the first limb of yoga

Five Niyamas, Purifying Ourselves, the second limb of yoga.

Our discussion, and practice, of Concentration, Meditation, and Philosophy will enable us to learn about the following:

1. Elevating the body’s intelligence to the level of the mind
2. How our past is dictating the choices, and experiences, we are creating now
3. The subtle energy body and field of opportunity to influence our health
4. Be with like-minded people in a supportive atmosphere (No ideas imposed on anyone, just seeds for thought)
5. Experience Meditation after investigating reasons to meditate and preparing the body

As your Hatha yoga practice deepens, there are more questions than answers about our relationship to the world within and the world around us.

It is my pleasure to bring 18 years of Metaphysics and 10 years of teaching yoga to this experiential workshop.
